| WHAT
IS A DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL?
The Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a standardized course throughout New Zealand and the world. The School is designed to train Christians to be, and make, disciples of Jesus Christ. To achieve this goal, four main aims are emphasized on the DTS:
Basic Structure The school is a live-in course that is arranged in two parts consisting of approximately twelve weeks of Lectures and twelve weeks of Field Assignment. The last part of the school is undertaken here in New Zealand and overseas. The Course Director and Leadership The School Director is responsible for the teaching, and to see that all the essential areas are covered during the School. The Director and his/her team will meet regularly to seek “the mind of the Lord” on the day-to-day running requirements of the School as well as the needs of individual students. In general, the lectures provide depth, whereas the small groups and specific counseling further the application of truth to individuals‘ lives. UNIVERSITY OF NATIONS REGISTERED This School is registered with the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) University of the Nations and will enable successful students to gain 12 credits for the Lecture Phase and 12 credits for the Field Assignment Phase toward a University of the Nations degree.
