Bill and Beryl Henwood have been married since 1981. They both
had been married before, Beryl’s first husband was killed
in a plane accident in NZ, and Bill was divorced. Between them,
they have six children, between the ages of 23 and 45 years.
They also have 16 grandchildren, between the ages of 1 and 23
years. They have been Christians for over 30 years. Three years
ago, Bill was diagnosed with cancer. In August 2010, we said
goodbye to a deeply loved and respected leader when Bill passed
away. He has left a legacy behind that will continue to have
an impact on many people.
Beryl is an advocate for the protection of the unborn child,
she has previously spoken and ministered with a ministry team
visiting and proclaiming the truth in local churches. As an
International Teacher, Beryl speaks on topics including: spiritual
warfare, intercession, hearing the voice of God. She ministers
in the areas of counselling and spiritual & emotional healing.
Her heart is to see people released to their full potential
in the Lord. Beryl worked in the area of youth ministries for
many years. Currently Beryl leads the Pursuits Ministry Counselling
Team, supporting School Staff, Leaders and Students.
Bill
had a corporate background, majoring in Recreation Management
and Strategic Planning. This had a strong Community Development
emphasis including Community, Local Government, Health and Fitness,
Sports Coaching and Recreation. Much of his working career has
been with Youth and Young Adults.
Bill taught on Leadership, including Vision and Mission, Re-entry,
Finances. He ministered in the area of the Father heart, impartation
of the Holy Spirit and exhorting young people to reach their
best in Christ.
They
have been involved in YWAM since 1987, completing their DTS
through Family Ministries, in 1990. Since then they have developed
PursuitsNZ Trust Ministries.
