The School is for those who wish to do a discipleship training school (DTS) through YWAM. Starts September each year.

This school is a 'regular' Youth With A Mission (YWAM) discipleship training schools (DTS) with an added surf 'flavour'. Our DTS will cater for surfers of all skill levels. It is not essential that you can surf in fact beginners are welcome. The primary requirement is have a heart for the Lord Jesus AND want to reach this 'sub-culture'. Surfing activities are usually taking place on weekends where students get the opportunity to surf different spots - Raglan, the Mount, Piha (overnight), plus other locations.

Ministry Plant

Our intention is to grow the Surfers DTS and ‘plant’ a new Surfers Ministry at Raglan. To do this we have to have the numbers - 15 to 17 - to make the DTS financially viable. And to stand alone.

Until that time we will run the Surfers DTS from Crystal Springs in Matamata. The DTS will run alongside the Music and Worship DTS and the Outdoor Pursuits DTS. We will ensure surfers get to the local surf spots on most weekends when no ministry commitments are planned..
